Since a modest beginning by Irving “Mr. Music” Kepler in 1939 and James “Woody” Woodland in 1948, the W and the K in WK Music and Vending have been serving the central Ohio market for well over 60 years.

W K Music & Vending was officially formed in 1967 and under the leadership of Virginia Woodland continued to enjoy its position in the Columbus market by maintaining a very loyal customer base.  During this time period, second generation James Woodland II, joined the company on a part time basis while pursuing a career in the public sector.  When the downturn of the late-80’s occurred, Jim joined the company full time and with the addition of key experienced technical and sales personnel and Virginia’s sound leadership helped the company to survive and grow in a volatile market place.

The key acquisition / merger with B M Vending in 1992 and Mike Fowler joining the company helped open up the pool and dart league markets for our customers.  The acquisition of Superior Coin (established in 1923) in 2000 has broadened the company’s customer base and helped propelled the company to the forefront in customer service with the addition of experienced customer-oriented employees. 

As we start the new millennium under the able and experienced leadership of Virginia Woodland and James Woodland II, we welcome a third generation, Jason Woodland, into the company (James Woodland III is a teacher, but still works summers with us).  The family touch combined with the decades of experience enables the company to operate and maintain any type of equipment from the old fashioned electro-mechanical 13-16 foot Big Ball Bowler to the ultra-modern Digital Internet Phonograph.
